Christopher Peter Meloni has been an acclaimed American actor for many years. Most famously, he is famous for his roles was in "Law and Order Special Victims Unit". The first time he became interested in acting was in his early college days. He completed his acting studies at University of Colorado at Boulder. While he has appeared in movies and in television shows however, it's his characters portrayed on small screens which have earned him acclaim. He's been able easily play characters from both sides of the law and grab the audience's focus. When he first appeared on television, for his debut project, he played an infamous serial killer. In later projects, he was the role of an NYPD investigator. Because of his portrayal in the small screen, he's been nominated several times for the prestigious Emmy Awards. The most striking of his facial traits is believed to be the sharp blue eyes which have been instrumental in his portrayal of characters that have a rough, charismatic look. The year 2006 was the last time he was featured in the People's publication's Sexiest Men Alive list.
